Filling in the Literary Blanks
Giving Attribution Where It's Due
This is a blog for my forays into "literary sleuthing," where I try to track down author attributions and original publication sources for unattributed (usually public domain) works.
I've also been doing "literary excavation" projects, where I collect what I consider interesting, but little known, bodies of writing. Mostly supernatural themed.
Sometimes I investigate quotes, and other literary mysteries, too.
My Current Cases
The Supernatural Writings of Stuart Palmer #
Stuart Palmer was a prolific and well-regarded mystery writer, active in the detective fiction community from the 1930s into the 1960s. But his earliest published work was for Ghost Stories magazine, much of which has fallen into the US public domain. I'm collecting and transcribing as much of his Ghost Stories writing as I can find.
For previous sleuthing projects, see the My Cases page.
